FAQ
Do I have to book in or attend on specific days once enrolled?
No. You are welcome to come to any class that suits your schedule each week. There is no need to book or commit to particular days.
Can I just turn up and try a class?
You are welcome to stop by and watch a class anytime. If you would like to join in, please book a short call first using the form above. This helps us make sure we are the right fit and ensures we have enough coaches available to support new students. Because of this, we cannot always accommodate walk-ins for trial classes, but we will do our best.
Does my child need a uniform or specific equipment?
It depends. We will happily provide everything you need, including uniforms, to borrow free of charge during your orientation. If you decide to enrol after your free class, we can also provide loan gear for another two weeks while our coaches guide you on what equipment or uniform you may need moving forward, depending on your preferred training program.
Is it safe? Can you work around previous injuries?
Safety is our top priority. Our coaches work hard to create a safe and supportive training environment and prioritize a gym culture of safe and controlled training. That said, martial arts is a combat sport and, while we do everything possible to prevent injuries, occasional bumps and bruises can happen. If you’re child has an existing injury, please let your coach know so we can adjust their training accordingly.
Is signing up a lock-in contract?
No. You can pause or cancel your enrolment anytime.
What should my child wear to their first class? Do I need to bring anything?
Any comfortable T-shirt and shorts are fine. No special gear is needed and no shoes are required on the mats. We will provide everything else needed for your first free orientation class.
My child struggles with focus (ASD, ADHD)?
We are here to support every child’s journey as best as we can. If your child has been diagnosed with, or is suspected to have, a neurodevelopmental condition, please let us know. Our instructors have experience working with neurodiverse kids and we welcome all children to try our group classes.
If we believe your child is not quite ready for a group setting yet, we will let you know honestly and respectfully. We can also offer private training at a reduced rate to help them build the skills needed for group classes.
This gives them the time and support required to build confidence and develop the skills to thrive in a group environment.
What is the Minimum Starting Age
Our minimum starting age is 2 years old in our Koalas class, which requires parent participation. Once students move into the Pandas program, usually around age 4, parent participation is no longer required.
Can I submit a Fair Play/Play On voucher?
Yes. You will receive more information on how to submit a voucher after enrolling.
